Teen and Young Adult Counselling Christchurch

For many young adults, the modern era can be overwhelming. They might feel a huge pressure to make big decisions, or feeling lost in figuring out who they are. It might be too much to handle the emotions that don’t make sense. It’s a stage of life where things can feel both wide open and incredibly uncertain.

Many young people come to counselling when they’re feeling stressed, stuck, anxious, or unsure how to move forward. Some have experienced significant traumas that make this time even harder. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Counselling offers a space to talk honestly, reflect, and get support without judgement.

How I Could Help

In our sessions, we’ll explore what’s going on in your life. This might be stress, study pressure, friendships, relationships, identity, motivation, trauma, or mental health. We will look at the ways these shape your identity, and how they affect your life’s story.

My experience working with teens at Hagley College (Christchurch) means I understand what young people face in school: academic pressure, social dynamics, family expectations. Navigating emotions that can feel intense or confusing.

I’m also privileged to work with young men at The Canterbury Men’s Centre, supporting people with so many challenges as they transition into adult life. This background helps me create a space where young adults of all genders feel comfortable, respected, and taken seriously.

Once we have figured out the story of your life that you want you live, we will work together to strengthen it. My aim is for you to feel empowered to face life’s challenges with more confidence.
